Web site problems :(

Where should the web site go - what should we do? Who has the time between rows?

Some of us rowed more than the 14k valentine - and no heart pops up next to our name....like, are we not sweet enough? Too sweaty after all the exercise? See 40s-50s....

Boris,

I suspect, though I haven't checked with JL on this one, that the challenge 'flags' that show who has completed what challenge are only updated once every 24 hours.

If you look at the people with hearts at the moment, they all completed the challenge on day 1 - Feb 9th - the rest of us will probably have to wait a few hours longer for our Valentines.

Thanks Boris.

Maybe I was wrong on the flags though - still no hearts. :-({|=

JONATHAN!! What's wrong? Maybe you can sort out the two Brian Critchleys as well? :( And find some explanation for the fact that when I sort by last 7 days, Sue Lewis appears in the top 10 despite not having rowed any metres. :-s

Hmmm - I take my daughters to an all day swim meet and all hell breaks loose on the board.

I've fixed the various issues. For some reason, Brian is listed twice in the FreeSpirits membership - I think he has 2 profiles registered, and that really confused the meterboard.

Something else has changed as well - the timezone is not appearing correct for me, although it did previously. Not sure when in the last few days this changed, but I'm Eastern (GMT -5), and it's showing Central. Hmmm?
Cheers,

Meter Board

Post by Paul Victory »

My wife Jennifer recorded some meters online on Saturday with Free Spirits as her team. She subsequently appeared on the Meter Board, but has now disappeared from the board. She also put in Free Spirits as her training partner, but it is still showing as pending.

Please let us know if there is anything else she needs to do.

She's back on the Meter Board, but her log book is still not appearing.

Same problem

Post by ReneHoferichter »

In my case I guess it was my fault: addind free spirits as a training partner before being displayed in the meter board. Now my training partnership is pendig as well and the logbook is not displayed.
I wrote a pm to jlemon who is the wizard of that trick but still nothing changed (did not get a reply as well - maybe he is on vacation?)

Why would that cause a problem?

Depends

Post by ReneHoferichter »

That's a thing I came up with after reading to "How-To" again. There's an extra point in there to wait until your name is in the meter board before adding the Free Spirits training partner.

Depending on how the magic works it would ask the database something like "is the C2 profile requesting Free Spirit training partnership a registered user?" And you are a reigistered user only if you confirmed that by clicking the "activate account link" you received the mail.

Of course I am not sure that this is the truth or reason but in my eyes something like this makes sense. Maybe there's just no one checking the partnership requests recently - who knows :o

I'm indeed on a family trip - will be checking in sporadically.

There are issues with the 'linked logbook' functionality at the moment, I'm trying to get them ironed out with C2. I think things have just gotten worse today, and all logbooks are broken. :-(

I noticed this last month when JL was on vacation. PM'd him, but figure it is not high priority, what with the season starting today, and all.

Can't enter any meters in the C2 logbook yet (I get an error that I'm trying to enter meters for a future date). Sure they're just having a snag with the season changing over. (I figure everyone is having the same problem, since I see no meters posted for today on our board.
Cheers,
Kris

Thanks Kris, I was able to enter my lunch time row today thru RowPro, but it went into last years amount .

JL has a LOT of work on at the moment, and I suspect for the next couple of months so I think we'll need to bear with him.

I am sure that the meterboard will kick in once C2 start their new season. I believe it takes C2 a while to sort themselves out.

The training partner number in my C2 logbook appears to have gone back to 'Pending' in my C2 profile and as such my logbook is not public at the moment.
Did anyone else have this issue when the logbook reset? I had loads of hassle last season when I set it up

Might pm JL in a few days.

Cheers

It seems that when your meter count == 0, you're not really a member of any team. So team FreeSpirits was literally disbanded at the beginning of the season, and people are re-joining as they post their meters.

That's why your logbook is currently disconnected. When you post meters for the new season, things should go back to normal.

Green bars on the progress graph (when I click on my name) don't show up correctly: todays 15k show up, but the km posted for the other days in May do not, making the average-meters-rowed curve inaccurate. The logbook numbers are ok.
Same happens for some others - eg. Gary Erdos, or Rene Hoferichter where many km just vanish of the graph.
I admit, no international catastrophe....

Funky weird stuff going on with meter board for me. On the calendar view, I'm seeing a huge amount of meters for June 3rd: 65,191. I definitely didn't row those meters. Don't think I rowed anything on the 3rd of June actually. They don't appear to be getting added into my total, but there they are.

Also, In the forums, threads are not getting marked correctly as read/unread. I do check from more than one computer (work/home), and don't expect it to keep track across computers of course. But threads that have resurrected from the grave are not showing up as unread at all on either computer. Do I need to just delete cookies and start over?
Cheers,
Kris
