Jan, before Paul came up with the correct answer and because I didn't know the answer, out of curiosity I googled, Hurry up, hurry up and wait. The result was the Stereophonics, Hurry Up And Wait which I hadn't heard before and now like. It also reminded me of another song - drove myself mad trying to think of it and finally asked my son to listen to the Stereophonics to see what he thought. After about a minute he said, " Supertramp Give a Little Bit . " Yes!

I am now dealing with two ' ear worms '. They alternate.

Plummy, it looks as if Paul’s thinking is probably similar to mine - if you had said that the group/artist was Norwegian, I would have suggested AHA because I don’t know any others. Would have struggled to remember the song title though.

By the same reasoning, if you had said Swedish, then the only group/ artist I could think of would be Abba. I’m going for them, simply because I recall at the time, that the gentlemen were all rather taken with the beautiful Agnetha.

Only problem, I do not recognise the lyrics so have no idea of the song title.

I did think about the Finnish group Nightwish ( again, only one that I know ) but couldn’t imagine you listening to any of their music.

There are 2 other songs which are completely different but have the same title - one by a band fronted by a member of the Travelling Wilbury's, the other by a band fronted by an ex-member of Nirvana.

You are correct there Dave - the band started out in the 60's, they're british and the track is from a late 80's album.
