I think you are right there, Dave - Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is the chorus.

It is "Rubber Band Man" by the Detroit Spinners (just "The Spinners" in US interestingly). #2 in the US, and #16 in the UK.
A well known song, but just the chorus only by the look of it

I think I know the song. Is it called Let's Dance? I know David Bowie had a (very different) song with the same name, so maybe that's what's throwing me.
