As many of you know, I try to attend as many music gigs as possible. I'm also a football (well Saints) fan and like to go to matches.
Cue rant:
This morning I applied for and got tickets for Green Day at the Emirates Stadium next June. Never been to the Emirates but have seen GD and they are very good live. Hope that Billie Joe is out of rehab by then. I paid £49.50 for tickets. Not cheap but IMHO worth it.
Now tickets are appearing on what I call tout sites. Seatwave, fanexchange etc. All of then are selling tickets at 150% or more of face value.
How do they get tickets? Why are they allowed to do this?
If the event going public boycotted such sites for 3 months, it would drive them all out of business.
They're just parasites and bottom feeders in my view.
I have never (knowingly) bought a ticket from a tout and never will.
Back to work now.
