Meterboard Question - How do I get on?

Where should the web site go - what should we do? Who has the time between rows?

Meterboard Question - How do I get on?

Post by jasong.1 »

Hey all,

Just started rowing again after some time off and joined the Free Spirits team to keep me motivated this time. I signed up per the instructions on July 5th and have had about 4 rows since then but my name hasn't appeared on the meterboard. Just wondering if there is anything else that I need to do besides joining the team on the COncept2 website and here. Thx in advance.

Welcome aboard Jason.

Have you gone into the teams section on the C2 website and set Free Spirits as your team? I think that's all you need to do.

Hey Paul,

Thx for the reply. According to my C2 logbook I am a member of the team.

OK, I think in that case you may need to enter Free Spirits as a training partner in your profile. The Free Spirits ID is 342705.

Unfortunately Paul is slightly mistaken. The teams page is for the occasional challenges such as the fall challenge etc - there are 3 per year and its a great idea to sign up for us there as well. However in order to be seen on the meter board you need to set your affiliation to Free Spirits on the profile tab of your C2 log. Just log in to C2, then select profile, then edit profile - the affiliation selection is towards the bottom of the page. You should appear on the meterboard within an hour when it updates. Hope that helps and welcome to free spirits.

Good stuff, you should appear in the next hour. It will pick up your total metres for the season so far and place you in the appropriate position in the table. At that point red mist will descend and you will be seized with an uncontrollable urge to start climbing the table  :D

My goal is to be in the middle of the pack this year but I wouldn't mind making a run into the top 100!!!
