I have finally gotten my weight down to under 175 lbs and the only way I can keep it there and still eat at least a few of the foods I like is to burn calories like crazy, so I row, and row, and row. Besides, I really like passing people on the board

Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club
James how do you do 30k in one day? You must be strong. Or get up early.
You've managed to stay ahead of well over 400 people on the meterboard, so you 're keeping the calories moving.
Congratulations again! (and on the weight loss)

I row a bit over 2 hours a day, my best split average for a row was 2:14, my worst about 2:30, usually between 2:18 and 2:25. My pace is mediocre, not tremendously strong I just keep going for a long time . I suspect I would lose in a race at any distance to any of those in the top 30 on the board.

Struggled to attach this as it said my quota was full. Fiddled about managing attachments and deleted 3 ancient one and a space appeared for this one now..

BTW, I happened to look at the first page of this thread out of curiosity and noticed this:plummy wrote:32 Million Meters
That's 28 Million Meters in about 9.5 years or just under 3 Million/Year... Super dedication, Dave!!plummy wrote:by plummy » Sun Sep 09, 2007 11:38 am
After pulling all sorts of muscles yesterday digging out yet another tree stump I decided (possibly against my better judgement) to complete the 14236 metres needed to get to 4MM lifetime also.

Well done on the 20 million - that's a huge distance. Would that be a black star or a gold star?
