Out of solidarity also had a go at it. Managed to take almost 4 seconds off. Not very convinced during the race, splits going up and down, but thought it would be a pity to give up.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2017 / 2018
Nice one Fred - I had psyched myself up to try and creep under 7:14, and then you go and do this!!
Had an attempt as planned - was expecting to struggle a bit after a good strength session this morning - (8k at 370 DF) - and the 2k, as always, didn't disappoint
I had a near HD at 650m to go but recovered to push the last 500 in 1:43.9.
DF was set at 217.
Tale of the Tape :
500m - 1:47.9 32 spm
1000m- 1:46.6 32 spm
1500m- 1:47.4 32 spm

Great session, Paul. Glad I could inspire you a bit, but I think that wasn't really necessary

7 results for February so far. Hopefully Barbara and Felton will have a go latest tomorrow!
Any idea what happened to Chuck?
I will most likely give it another try tomorrow if time and fitness allows, as an improved result here will help the team, while the C2CTC is individual. However, as Peter pointed out I could do both

Go on Tako, do both - if you beat both my marks I can't fight back - I have worn out the clutch bearing on my rower and have had to get a whole new flywheel which will only arrive at the weekendTako wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 8:59 pm 7 results for February so far. Indoor Rowers League 2017 / 2018
Well after a 2k warm-up I had a go on the IRL first (and not sure I can do much more now....)
As Ralf paddled a result this month (compared to his supreme previous months; I also saw that his C2CTC score is much lower than expected. Hope you will be back in front soon Ralf!) I had the 7th best adjusted score. So even if Barbara happens to enter a great result later today, my result would count. First attempt so far was a 7:17.8 (adj 7:06.1), so I had to do better....
Did not expect to improve my PB of 6:57.1; HOWEVER ...
I managed a new PB of 6:55.0
Which adjusted (06:43.3) still puts me behind the others

Very well done Tako, you seem to be back in form! Like Dave said, this achievement deserves its own posting on the PB thread!

Wow and excellent job Tako!! And all of you logging scores throughout the month!
Yes I entered a score but no worries on it displacing anyone
I'm not in 2k shape in any sense. But I'm glad I sat on the erg and went through the meters. A big thank you to Peter for the nudge!

Bitte Barbara
Thanks for doing this unpleasant distance in the last minute, thus helping the team to achieve a score of 92.33 which is quite an improvement after a rather poor February (87.33). Well done all, let's see how we can do in March with the 10k.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2017 / 2018
No PB for me but I'm very happy I managed to duck under 40 minutes again (for the last 3 years I've only managed sub 40 once per season).
I never thought possible the way my legs felt at the start. I was hoping for 2:02 pace (ish) but managed to drag it down (with quite a few little wobbles) to 39:57.6 - 1:59.9 pace.

That sounds great Dave!!
Superb start for the team!
Now we need 6 more and we might even move up from 9th spot
We have to get as much out of this month as next month’s sprint is not really our best arena.

Yes, I could not log mine either yet. Last month it also took almost a week before the scheme was up and team statistics were available.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2017 / 2018
Currently we are in 8th position.
Hopefully we will get 8 strong entries this month again.
It looks like calalli is logging meters again, but on the other side little activity from Ralf.
Come on folks second last month of the season, let’s go for it!!
