Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
The list of Free Spirits and their number of CTC's? That's a pivot table in Excel which takes its data from all CTC entries (over 43,500 records in total now). The resulting table has 479 names of FS that have participated over the years (although there will surely be some inaccuracies because of ex-post changes that I haven't been able to correct, e.g. people switching to another team but keeping the same user name on the CT website).Wolfmiester wrote:thanks Roger

Do you have a specific info interest I can help with?

hi Rodger (sorry about the 'd' yesterday),
nothing specific (although I know Paul is slowly catching me), I just thought there may have been a link in your sig like the others. Please do not create anymore work!
cheers

You are on 107, Paul is on 105 before this month.Wolfmiester wrote:hi Rodger (sorry about the 'd' yesterday),

It's the kind of 'work' I like.
Btw I had to read 5 times before I understood what you were on about with the 'd'. No worries, the d is completely optional.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
First I should mention that in November we had one member rowing the CTC for the first time: Dianne Carrière. A belated but nevertheless warm welcome!
There were no debuts in December.
Over the course of the whole year 22 Free Spirits made their CTC debuts for us:
Jon P Taylor, Jill Underwood, DavidHolmberg, Jon Palin, Jan Haveman, Sheena Haveman, Dave Carriere, Steve Selwood, Dennis Lindenbaum, Michelle Housenga, Guy Blackburn, Richard Underwood, Guenther Heldt, mardix, Steve Ramsay, Ben Langstraat, Genevieve Carriere, at1839, jason2tall, Dianne Carriere, and Jaromir Sychra.
In total we had 526 entries, over 14 separate challenges.
The challenge with the most FS participating was the 20 minutes in February: 52.
Unsurprisingly, the least popular (monthly) challenge was one with variable intervals: 500m, 400m, 300m, 200m, 100m / 1 min rest, in July: 32.
Ten Free Spirits did all 14 of them:
Liefcat , danfennell, Barbara H, Paul Victory, Felton Humble, alan wisniewski, Peter Weiß, RGelissen, David Plumb and PeggyH. =D> =D> =D>
Another ten did all of the 12 monthly challenges:
John Steventon, SanderJRoosendaal, Steve Smith, Jon P Taylor, Peter Tullett, Andrew Stanway, Laura Fairbairn, clareburrell, Roger Burrell and Gillian Burrell. =D> =D> =D>
Peter Tullett has now rowed over 100 CTC's for us. Roger Burrel is on 75. This is now the list of FS with at least 50 CTC's:
In 2015, as always since measurement began, Liefcat topped the leaderboard.
Full list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=6
And finally, these are the members that took part in all of the previous three years but went missing from the CTC in 2015:
Bill Wright, Matthew Leonard, Thomas W-P, Huw Thomas, Gary Dakin, Andrew Richards, Graham Webber, Tom Begley, Mark Brennan, Daniel Perkins and Grant Reeve.
I’m sure some will be back in 2016!

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
yes, just didn't find much rowing time all year - and every single row that I did do was UT1 pace only while watching Netflix! Got back into it with the holiday challenge re-building some base fitness and was going to do the December CTC except got the nasty gastro virus my wife had a week earlier right as the holiday challenge ended and missed the end of the month. I miss sprint intervals and CTCs and generally pushing so hard I feel like I am going to fall off the rower when I'm doneRodger wrote:And finally, these are the members that took part in all of the previous three years but went missing from the CTC in 2015:

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
I have started a new leaderboard sheet for 2016. It's here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 1844071262
It's a good start of the year with 43 participants and no less than 8 CTC debuts this month:
Trevor Taylor, Kirstin Esau, Jon Esau, e-Clair, Ron Pollard, Lee Cantey, Lydia Schrandt and Elise F.
A warm welcome to all!

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
Here's my belated report for the CTC participation in February.
We had the best turnout of all teams in the Carole McNally Memorial (27). =D>
And considering the nature of the Feb challenge a very good number in the monthly challenge too: 40, all neatly fitting in 8 boats!
There was one debut: Claudius rowed both challenges in February. Welcome!
Liefcat has rowed 100 CTC’s for us now (and really fast too!). =D>
Sander Roosendaal and Clare Burrell have joined the Club 50. =D>
You will notice that on the 2016 leaderboard (here), I went back to the 'old' scoring system: 100 points for participating plus a maximum of 100 depending on the boat rank on the CTC website. Half points for daily challenges. As long as the total number of boats in a challenge is under 100, I feel that's much better than last years scoring system.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
We had a really good participation in March with 45 Free Spirits doing all those intervals.
Especially well done to Peter Weiß, who rowed his 75th CTC and Joe Lohman for his 50th CTC. =D>
There was one new name, but I suspect Diane Carriere may be the same person as Dianne Carriere who rowed the CTC last November.
On the 2016 leaderboard Erik, Barbara and John are in the top three spots.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
In April 39 Free Spirits rowed the CTC.
Two of them did so for the first time: David Wray and George W (unless George W. is George Weekes who was a CTC regular in 2007-2008). Welcome!
Mark Cawthorne celebrated his silver jubilee as he hit 25 CTC's for us. =D>
The 2016 leaderboard shows some changes in the top 10. As always, it's here:

More thanks Rodger.
I have a query though ... I thought I saw Richard Underwood's name for April, and I just checked and he is in our last floating boat. He's not on the April list of participants though. I have not looked for any other name.
Cheers (and sorry if this creates work!)

It seems I've given Richard's points to Christine W. by mistake. Sorry, Richard! Nothing personal, I promise.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
With 44 participants May was a pretty good CTC month for Free Spirits. Only March saw a higher turnout so far this year (45).
I think there were three debuts: Martin Cloke, Dave2220 and Liezel du Preez. Welcome!
For any newcomers: if you are reading this, I try to administer an all-time CTC database for Free Spirits. So if you used to row CTCs under a different user name, please let me know so I can correct this. Either a reply here or via PM works for me.
The leaderboard: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 1844071262
By the way, if you check last month's result on the CTC website, you'll see a different setup of the boats. That's because in that list Barbara/Camicrew's entry (good for FS boat #1) has been deleted, presumably because it was deemed to be too late (even though it wasn't Barbara's only effort). Fortunately, I compiled our partcipation list before Dougie did that.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard
Thanks Rodger. That was an odd thing. I entered my time on the 31st. Left my PC in sleep mode, so when I pulled it up the next day, the browser asked me to "resubmit a form." Actually had no idea that what it was doing was re- entering my CTC score. So I guess it appeared the score was dated June. Sure appreciate all your work on the tracking!
