For those who have sent me their address, the headbands will be sent tomorrow, 20th January.
The price will be £4.50 per headband plus £1.65 P&P per order. This is actually very cheap IMO. I bought a few of these headbands about 3 months ago, after shopping around on t'interwebthingy. I ended up paying more than twice that price, and they weren't adorned with the FS logo. Many, many thanks to Boris for sourcing and organising this for us. He's done a superb job =D>

Payment details will be enclosed with your orders but I'm happy to take PayPal, personal cheques, cash or beer/wine tokens
If paying by PayPal please try the "Personal payment", "Gift/donation" type route as it may save money. Those of you entering EIRC in Manchester can pay me there if you prefer.

I also have a number of spare headbands for those interested (about 15, I think). Most are blue tie type but I also have a couple of pink tie type.
Just PM me if you're interested.

First lot of headbands posted today, for the FS for whom I have a confirmed address, so will probably be arriving tomorrow. The lucky recipients are Wolfie, Iain, Colin, Andy and Bill.
Mikkel: I also posted to you but that could take a couple of days longer ;-)

Stan: have sent you a PM about a query re your address.

Got mine this morning Lee. Thanks very much. ^O^ Paid by Paypal. The cost was 56 pence to my account (by ticking the right boxes) so net £10.65 to you as it should be.

Cheers Bill.
If this PayPal thing is going to cost more than a stamp then I'm quite happy for people to stick a cheque in the post. I'll even take my chances with a tenner in the post, or they can just pay me in Manchester (or even at BIRC!)

Not sure which one I look more fetching in, blue or pink. Don't think I'll bother asking the wife for her opinion though

Got mine today. The post office tried to deliver yesterday but I was at work, so I called in on the way to the gym to get them. They look great and for the first 30 mins of my 10k row today it was working well. Not 100% effective but a big improvement on not having one at all. Unfortunately it then fell off and I wasnt going to stop to put it back on again. Guess I needed a more secure knot. It was absolutely sopping wet when I picked it up :~c

Done 2 workouts with mine. Thanks Boris 7 Lee (Paypal transfer arranged to Lee, let me know if it doesn't arrive). They work brilliantly, I still get some sweat on my glasses, but none in my eyes yet and I could still see after my workout from hell Saturday. The knot came undone on my warm up, but the band stayed on for the remaining 2k! It is slightly disconcerting that I am left with an impression in my forehead for an hour after each, but a huge improvement.

Question, how do people knot them, I used a reef knot after the foirst failure (a half hitch). Somehow a large bow seems only appropriate for the pink one!

PayPal worked fine Iain, thanks.
I tie mine with a reef knot too. Not had any problems with it coming loose so far.

With regard to securing.
Admittedly I have only used it twice, but both time I have just twisted one end under the other and pulled tight.
Seems OK so far.

Used mine for the first time today, great piece of kit, as a contact lense wearer it was nice to get off the erg without my eyes stinging :D

Lee - arrived today. Thank you so much. If it's ok I'll take the 'pay in Manchester' option but if you would like Paypal then just say.

Tried it tonight on a 5x750r4' - worked a treat with a double knot at the back. My daughter says I look like a Ninja and my wife thinks I look like the guy out of 'Hannibal' who has his brain removed and eaten whilst he's still alive :?

I shall ignore these childish comments. This is my first piece of FS kit and it actually has a picture of me on it (a fat white lump in a Thinsulate hat sweating on an erg) so I'm chuffed - no disrespect to Casper our mascot (or whatever he's called). No danger of me tying a bow at the back of it - my head is so big that the ends only just meet

Thanks again

I use mine at Cardio Rehab and wonder what people think....I know they think I am crazy when I do 30 minutes on the C2 there at a load three or four times what everyone else does. But to give them credit those 80+ year old guys do well for their age.

The sweat bands do work well.

Why, do they ban you from using the gym if you don't work hard enough?

Just an update on these, following the marathon on Sunday.
They are absolutely fantastic! \:D/
I did not have one single drop of sweat in my eyes or on my glasses, in 3 hours of rowing.
If you have not already got one of these I would highly recommend them.
Thanks again to Boris & Lee for sorting them out for the UK :D
