Alternately, I could look at my existing stash. I have about 40+ or so left - will just have to look for them and do an inventory. Long time ago I did the original design & order and ended up with way more then were ordered. Will post once I have them, this week, may be tomorrow. Still a free spirit -

Boris - in the absence of any information re your stash I'm going to order some headbands anyway as I desperately need a couple. I'll wait 24 hours until I order in case you get a chance to reply on this thread or via a PM.

I've just faxed the order over. 30 in total

6 x pink to ensure the lovely Jill gets 2 to match her flushing flamingo colouration.

The others are split into 12 x Navy Blue and 12 x Royal Blue (whatever the difference is). I was going to order some red ones in case somebody wanted to get tribal over football shirt colours but just kept it simple (sorry any reds fans).

Thanks, plummy!

Am I right in thinking that navy blue is basically the dark Free Spirit blue? And, because of that, more suited for people who would like to use them in competitions. Royal blue is lighter.

Anyway, I would be happy to take one of each blues off your hands.

I would guess that Navy Blue is in line with FS colours but didn't have a colour chart to choose from so just varied it a fraction for choice. Once I have them, I'll take a picture and post it here.

Current list:
Plummy x 2
Iain x 2
Rodger x 2 (one of each blue)
Richard x 2
Jill x 2 ( pink if possible ) - and pink they shall be
Paul V x 2
JonT x 1 (Blue)
DocRowSlow x 1 (pink) x 2 (Blue)

(I make that 16 out of the 30 I've had to order..)

I'm happy to take a few off your hands plummy (maybe two of each shade of blue, not sure that pink would suit me   ). If you can wait until Madchester, we'll sort it out then. I'm happy to pay you in advance and pick them up at Madchester.

These look like a good idea. Nothing worse than droplets of perspiration splashing from your forehead onto the inside of glasses #-o

I will relieve you of a couple of these please, except pink as that would clash horribly with my living room carpet

Halo have said they hope to ship the order next Monday so hopefully I will have them by the end of next week and in plenty of time for EIRC. I should be able to work out the cost each better as I will know the import duties etc and get some posting prices.

According the tracking number Halo sent me the headbands are on UK soil and in London. Hopefully only a day or two more and I will have the little critters here with me and start working on distributing them (and using my new ones as my old ones are shot)

The headbands have only just cleared customs this morning so it looks like it will be around Tuesday before I receive them.

There's a £46.00 import duty cost apparently (ouch! - a lot more than I expected) so I'll add that into the numbers for a final figure when I get them weighed up for postage and distribution.

Nearly there :D

Hooray - I finally have the headbands in my grubby mits. The costs on these became a little unpalatable once the customs duty gets thrown into the mix so here's the maths (once the $USD price was converted to £GBP with all charges:

Headbands - £184.62
Postage - £7.01
Currency conversion fees (£0.20 & £5.44) - charged by my credit card
Customs import duty: £46.33

Total landed price £243.60
Per headband this works out at: £8.12

I will get the packet/postage cost sorted out later today and get a price for distribution. Then come the nasty bit of collecting monies from everyone who ordered.

(They look smart though - especially the pink ones Jill :D )

Thanks for organising that plummy. I'm happy to wait until Madchester to collect mine. Please let me know how you want to be paid. Is PayPal an option for you?

I've never been paid via Paypal (I've made a couple of payments outbound in the past) so I don't know how that works.

Can it just be done via an on line payment? - i.e. you send it direct from your bank to mine if I give to the account and sort code?
