Stress relief
Work has been pretty fraught this week. Recently discovered a big gap in functionality in the software I'm currently working on that everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten about up until now, and it's needed for the next release in a few weeks time, so generally quite stressed out.
Do find the erg helps with this though... nothing like a good hard session to get work out of your head at the end of the day. And not just for that day either; the beneficial (to the mind at least) effects of a hard 20k seem to carry over to the next day as well. Muscles may ache, but I always find myself a bit more relaxed and concentrate better the day after erging.
